In partnership with the Westobou Gallery, the Southern Circuit Tour of Independent Films, and the National Endowment of the Arts, JNSA is proud to present a screening of The Blood is at the Doorstep, sponsored by Humanitree House! This film follows the case of Dontre Brown, a disabled man killed by police in Milwaukee.
After Dontre Hamilton was shot 14 times and killed by police in Milwaukee, his family embarks on a quest for answers, justice and reform.
The film will be screened at 7:30 PM on February 8th, and will be followed by a Q&A with Nathaniel and Maria Hamilton, respectively the brother and mother of the late Dontre Hamilton.
The film will be preceded by a teen mixer for Safehomes of Augusta, and the Art of Peace show with Americorps Vista, the Robby Poblete Foundation, and Future Successors.
