In partnership with Sistema Toronto and the Glenn Gould Foundation, JNSA will be bringing 15 students to Toronto, Canada to see Ms. Jessye Norman receive the 12th Glenn Gould Award, an extraordinary honor awarded to an individual who has enriched the human condition through the arts. The prize comes with a cash award of $100,000 and the Glenn Gould Prize statue by Canadian artist Ruth Abernethy. Additionally, Ms. Norman’s work will be honoured through a series of public events presented in the upcoming year.
The ceremony will take place February 20th, and students and chaperones will fly out on the 19th.
As the transportation of 15 students will be very expensive, we are happy to accept any donation one might be willing to make to help support this trip.
